I am not dead yet.

It has been ages since I last posted here. Yes I am now in college. And Im currently in the phase of applying to universities abroad. There is this crazy requirement where I have to submit a few essays for the admission. Writing an essay should be a no problem for me because I do enjoy writing, but considering this application essays are the most crucial part of my application, scares me. I was browsing for ideas and thought of this blog. How random. I might look back at my old posts and see if I can get any ideas to write my essays. I also have a big exam coming this Saturday but these essays are bugging me. About this blog, I am still thinking whether I should get rid of it, or continue writing. We'll see. And they did a cover on Good Life by One Republic. Like seriously, can you believe this? The first time I saw this video I almost faint (okay thats too much exaggeration) but yeah its true. Stand Up And Speak For Yourself!

Few days ago, no no, last 2 weeks, I attended a talk at MSU about Pathology Career and scholarships. So there were few experienced people and those who got incharged in that thing. They talked about random things and all that. But I found a part that attracted me. Its when I came to a part that says....something about becoming a leader. Leader for the future. Well everybody knows that people today are seeking for excellent students, right? In an urban, upgrading, superb lifestyle these days, I bet we can simply found it in just a nick of time But what makes the difference between them? Everybody can read, count, score good grades, etc.

BUT not everyone can lead. These times we can hardly tell. To find a good leader, a noble, a role model, yet an exemplary student.

In this scope, I found myself came to a perceptions that leaders are made, and not born. People with terrific ideas, innovator and smart strategic thinkers are now everywhere. But when it comes to meetings and public communicating, they failed. Thats just waste, isn't it?

What made the difference was not some set of genes that permanently fixed them as outgoing or shy, but rather what they experienced in their lives. If parents, say, regularly exposed a shy kid to strange playmates at a playground and was emotionally supportive in the face of their uncertainty, those kids learned a crucial lesson: I may feel a little afraid at first, but if I go ahead and engage despite the fear, I'll have a great time.

Including the fact that I frequently go to courses, camps and all that.I am just an outgoing person and easy to socialize with if you know how to fit me in. So basically I love communicating and stand up to talk. Because I just love talking. Dont blame me, speaking and voicing out my opinions just made me feel great and as If everyone listens to you with respect even you dont know what you are talking about. But trust me, its feels great, seriously.

However, I would like to share with you guys some of the tips to talk or lead or whatever :

1) Ask yourself: do I care? You need to be motivated, because it takes effort and time - and may be a bit uncomfortable at first. (its better if you have mirror infront, so that you will know how you look like at that time. hehes)

2)Ask yourself again, Do I really need to improve? Get opinions of people you respect and trust about what they see as your strengths and limits when it comes to leadership potential. This really helps. I always have my family and girlfriends as the judge.

3) Answer the question: what should I practice? It helps to have a learning plan, a contract with yourself. In this case it might be: Whenever the opportunity arises, I will speak up and say what I'm thinking, rather than just sitting there being quiet. If you're in class, this is a bonus point for you. Take the chance to practice this!

4)Find a friend to support you, someone you can talk over times you don't get it right. Think through what kept you quiet, and what you might do next time to have the confidence to speak up.

5) FInally, seize every opportunity to practice - not just at school, or classes, but anywhere in your life it may happen. If you follow this regime, you'll be reprogramming your brain in a way that will make it easier and easier to overcome that still, small voice that says, "Be quiet."

Now wipe that look on your face and lets improve ourself together :)

Well first and foremost, I dont think its not too late to wish you guys Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Maaf Zahir dan Batin :) Forgive me for all my wrongdoings okay? Lets forgive, forget and may this glorious Hari Raya be blessed. There's no much to say for this time. To conclude this year's Raya celebration, I am much satisfied and happy for it as all the family members are gathered at Malacca. We spent the whole first and second day of Raya at Malacca and the rest of it at Johore. I hope we all can stay like this forever. My baju raya for this year is green in color and salutation on that! Because....I never had any baju kurung in green before! So this year is totally different. I did buy some baju kurung besides the green one just for good. And as for him, eventhough we are far apart, we did ooVoo on first day of Raya and that made my Raya even more meaningful. Awww :') So now, just let pictures do the talking :
